Abstract

This paper presents an enhanced approach for topology optimization using the combination of the Bi-directional Evolutionary Structural Optimization (BESO) method and the Element-Free Galerkin (EFG) method. The proposed method significantly reduces computational time while maintaining accuracy, addressing the limitations of mesh-based methods. Numerical results demonstrate that the method is up to 2.5 times faster than FEM-based approaches, while ensuring reliable structural performance. The approach is particularly effective for problems with complex geometries, making it a robust solution for real-world engineering applications.
